WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team is hosting John Carroll this Saturday at 7 p.m. Senior Night recognitions will begin at 6:30.

The Teams: Wilmington and John Carroll. Wilmington currently ranks seventh in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) and will need to win outright to have a chance at getting to sixth place and playing in the OAC tournament. John Carroll is in eighth place in the OAC by half a point and will need a victory and some help to make the OAC tournament.

The Coaches: Steve Spirk returns to coach his 30th year for the Wilmington women's soccer team. Spirk has led the Quakers to six NCAA Division III Tournament appearances including five berths in the regional semifinal ("Sweet 16") round. Six Wilmington teams have claimed regular season conference titles under Spirk's tutelage including three OAC titles in a span of four years from 2000-03. Michael Marich enters his tenth season as head coach of the John Carroll University women's soccer program during the 2021-2022 school year. During his previous nine years at the helm Marich owns an overall mark of 76-68-28 (.524), and an OAC record of 42-27-12 (.519).

The Players: Junior goalkeeper Lauren Galloway leads the OAC with 116 total saves on the season. Maddie Scott has scored four goals on the season to lead the Quakers. Brittany Dufalla, like last season, leads the Blue Streaks in scoring at eight goals and two assists for a total of 18 points. Grace Monnin has scored five goals for JCU.

Senior Night: Saturday will mark the final home game for 10 seniors - Jordann Hurt, Abby Spirk, Peyton Pakozdi, Emelie Sterner, Carlie Brooks, Tiffany Hayes, Courtney Ryan, Mackenzie Weaver, Danni Kmucha and Cierra Kolar. A brief ceremony will be held prior to the start of the match.

Series History: Wilmington is 4-4-2 in the last 10 contests vs. John Carroll. Most recently the Quakers defeated John Carroll 3-0. More information on the series history can be viewed by visiting the link above.
