WILMINGTON, Ohio - Ohio Northern University (ONU) scored one goal in each half of a 2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) victory over the Wilmington College women's soccer team at Williams Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Polar Bears opened the scoring in the 16th minute as Tara Morris fed a cross into the box that was found the foot of Elizabeth Pierce who beat the Fightin' Quakers' goalkeeper, Lauren Galloway. That would be the only time she would be beat in the first half, however, as the junior made nine saves to keep it a one-score game.

The Fightin' Quakers, which were held without a shot in the first half, took two in the second half. The Polar Bears repeated their first-half effort of 16 shots in the second 45 minutes and also scored one goal, which came off the foot of Jill Roberts in the 60th minute.

Galloway made 14 saves and took the loss while Kristy Catrine saved one shot and earned the win.

Wilmington (5-7-1, 2-2-0) continues OAC play at Marietta College at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
