BEXLEY, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's soccer team lost an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest 3-0 at Capital University on Wednesday evening.

In the first half of tonight's game, the Fightin' Quakers were outshot 7-1. The Comets were able to quickly capitalize on their chances as in the 11th minute Avery Hart would receive a pass by Olivia Rotolo and neatly beat keeper Lauren Galloway to score her seventh goal of the season. Wilmington would go into the half down 1-0.

The Comets would start the second half in much the same way as the first. 13 minutes into the second half, Wilmington would concede a penalty kick on a foul in the box. Lexi Snider would score her second goal of the season on a low driving shot past Galloway. Not more than six minutes later, Hart would again find the back of the net for Capital, her eighth goal of the season. Capital would go on to outshoot Wilmington 22-6 in their 3-0 victory.

Galloway saved nine shots in the loss, Capital keeper Lauren White would save four shots and record the victory. The hosts held a 22-6 edge in total shots including by a 12-4 margin in shots on goal. Heidi Edens fired two of the Quakers' four shots.

Up next, Wilmington will host John Carroll for Senior Night Saturday night at 7 p.m. Wilmington will need a victory and a bit of help to secure its second consecutive OAC Tournament bid.
