@DubC_XCTR men eighth at Hanover

HANOVER, Indiana- The Wilmington College men's track and field team competed in an invitational hosted by Hanover College on Saturday. Of the 17 competing teams the Fightin' Quakers finished eighth with 39 points.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Junior Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) posted the top finish for the Fightin' Quakers over the course of the meet. He finished first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.90. Burnam immediately preceded that finish, with a third-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.47.

  • Junior Antone Truss (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs) cleared 1.83-meters in the high jump for second-place.

  • In the triple jump, freshman Kaner Butler (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs) earned fifth with a jump of 12.31-meters.

  • Junior Kalvin Butts (St. John's, MI/St. John's) rounded out the top-five finishes for the team and threw 47.43-meters in the hammer throw to achieve fourth.
