WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's swimming team opens its long-awaited 2020-21 season with an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) dual meet at Ohio Northern University (ONU) on Saturday. Events are slated to begin at 1 p.m.

The Coaches: Trip Breen is in his 22nd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's swimming teams. Breen has been named Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Coach of the Year four times, the most recently in the 2016-17 season. Austin Veltman is in his third season as ONU's head swimming and diving coach.

Who to Watch: Wilmington returns four seniors - Samuel Shanes, Nicholas Keller, Ian Darras and Darron Crump - from last year's squad. Crump and Shanes will compete in freestyle events while Darras will join Shanes in the breaststroke. The Fightin' Quakers also have four juniors - Aaron Polk, Logan Schroer, Sha'bhir Thompkins and Samuel Wallace. Polk will be looking to build up a sophomore campaign that saw him place in the consolation finals of three events (100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle) at the 2020 OAC Championships in Akron.
