UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - John Carroll University defeated the Wilmington College men's swimming team 174-46 in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) dual on Friday evening.

Cameron Bolen finished third in two events for the Fightin' Quakers with swims of 50.82 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle and 1:05.04 in the 100-yard breaststroke. Michael Phillippee also placed third in the 100-yard backstroke by touching the wall in 59 seconds even.

"We are very grateful to have a third date of competition," Head Men's Swimming Coach Trip Breen said. "Everyone is fatigued from a couple solid weeks of practice. That said, we still had several lifetime-best performances, which will help confidence grow. We are looking forward to celebrating our seniors in the last dual of the season."

That dual, against Baldwin Wallace University, is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 27.
