Lathan Jones Named OAC Offensive Player of the Week

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Wilmington College junior wide receiver Lathan Jones has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Otterbein University, the league announced on Monday.

The Sidney High School alumnus hauled in four passes for 204 yards (for an average of 51 yards per reception) and a touchdown to aid the Fightin' Quakers in a 32-26 come-from-behind victory over the Cardinals on Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, Sept. 17. Jones' last two catches both setup touchdowns as quarterback Adam Dixon hit in him stride for 67-yard reception in the third quarter and a 74-yard touchdown strike in the fourth that put the hosts ahead 24-20.

Wilmington (2-1, 1-1 OAC) heads to Capital University for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday.
