WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College football team has unveiled its schedule for the upcoming 2022 season.

The campaign begins on a Thursday when the Fightin' Quakers travel to Beuna Vista, Virginia, for a Sept. 1 date with Southern Virginia University, a team that beat Wilmington in overtime in the season-opener at Williams Stadium a year ago. 

The nine-game Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) schedule has shuffled around for the first time in several years, and WC will begin with home contests against Baldwin Wallace University on Sept. 10 and Otterbein University as part of Homecoming Weekend on Sept. 17. The majority of the conference contests begin at 1:30 p.m. with the homecoming game slated for a 2 p.m. start.

Three of the Quakers' first four OAC games are at home as after a trip to Capital University on Sept. 24, Wilmington hosts John Carroll University to open October on the first of the month. A bye week follows, and the Quakers' schedule following the week off includes trips to Marietta College and the University of Mount Union on Oct. 15 and 22 respectively. Heidelberg University comes to Williams Stadium to close out October on the 29th.

The final month of the regular season features two contests - one home and one away. Senior Day is slated for Nov. 5 against Muskingum University with the regular season finale at Ohio Northern University scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff the following week.
