WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College football team concludes its 2019 season with a trip to Otterbein University on Saturday. The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest is slated to begin at 1:30 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Otterbein. The Fightin' Quakers are 2-7 on the season and 2-6 in OAC play after a 41-34 victory over Capital University on Senior Day. The Cardinals are also 2-7 overall and 2-6 in conference after a 21-10 loss at Marietta College on Saturday.

The Coaches: Bryan Moore, a 1999 graduate of Hiram College, begins his third season leading Wilmington's football program. Moore began instilling his vision on the program having brought in two large freshman classes. He has three victories over Earlham College and snapped a 40-game OAC losing streak by defeating Capital University in his first season. More recently, the Quakers defeating Ohio Northern for the first time since 1956 on Sept. 21. Previously, Moore spent time at both Bluffton University and Heidelberg. Tim Doup, a 1992 alumnus of Otterbein, is in his eighth season as head coach at his alma mater.

The Offense: Kyle Barrett quarterbacks the Wilmington offense and averages over 240 yards per game through the air to go along with 17 touchdowns. Both Ace Taylor and Itika Wynn Jr. have hauled in at least 55 receptions. Wynn Jr. averages nearly 100 yards per game and has grabbed nine touchdowns while Luke Richardson averages nearly 25 yards per catch. Gino Hinton Jr. is the Quakers' leading rusher at 41.4 yards per game. Logan Pharmer has nearly 1,300 yards and seven touchdowns as Otterbein's leading passer while Jordan Bost-Floyd and Matt Webb have both rushed for over 320 yards. George Redding has a team-high 40 receptions for the Cardinals.

The Defense: Ameer Jackson, Tavion Bryant and Tre'Quez Parks all have over 80 tackles for Wilmington including Jackson who averages over 10 per game. Parks has 31 tackles and joins Bryant with two forced fumbles. Parks and Brandon Weaver have both tallied two sacks for the Quakers. Niall Lewison is Otterbein's leading tackler with 43 solos tackles, 45 assists and 88 total tackles.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 19.1, Otterbein 19.6, points per game allowed – Wilmington 41.9, Otterbein 31.7, yards per game – Wilmington 328.0, Otterbein 333.9, yards per game allowed – Wilmington 450.8, Otterbein 379.1, passing yards per game – Wilmington 243.7, Otterbein 225.4, passing yards per game allowed – Wilmington 252.0, Otterbein 244.1, rushing yards per game – Wilmington 84.3, Otterbein 108.4, rushing yards per game allowed – Wilmington 198.8, Otterbein 135.0.

Three-Win Season: A victory in the season finale would give Wilmington its first three-win season since the 2008 campaign.
