2019 SCHEDULE

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College football program has finalized its 2019 season slated to begin this fall.

The Fightin' Quakers kick off the season with a home opener against Olivet College on Sept. 7. The Comets, members of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA), the oldest collegiate conference in the country, finished their 2018 season with a 6-4 record. Kick-off for the non-conference contest in scheduled for 7 p.m., marking the first night game at Williams Stadium in two years. The last time Wilmington hosted a game at night, the Quakers ended a 40-game conference losing skid with an overtime victory.

Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play begins at Heidelberg University on Sept. 14 before opening conference home play with a homecoming game against Ohio Northern University at 2 p.m. on Sept. 21. Wilmington then closes out the month of September with an away contest at Muskingum University on the 28th.

October opens with a bye week before hosting perrenial national power the University of Mount Union on Oct. 12 followed by another home game with Marietta College on Oct. 19. Three of Wilmington's final four games are on the road including at Baldwin Wallace University on Oct. 26, at John Carroll University on Nov. 2 and at Otterbein University on Nov. 16. Senior day, and the final home game of the regular season, is against Capital University on Nov. 9.

Offensively, the Quakers return their starting quarterback in Kyle Barrett who threw for over 200 yards per game as well as his top two receiving targets in Ace Taylor and Luke Richardson. Taylor hauled in 52 receptions while Richardson, who garnered Second Team All-OAC honors in 2018, caught nine touchdowns.

Defensively, Tre'Quez Parks, a Second Team All-OAC honoree and the top tackler in 2018, tallied 100 tackles including 52 solo tackles. Tavion Bryant and Weston Trampler, who led the team in sacks with 6.5 sacks, also return.
