WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College football team returns to Williams Stadium for one final time on Saturday as Capital University comes to town for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest on Senior Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
The Teams: Wilmington and Capital. The Fightin' Quakers are 1-7 on the season and 1-6 in OAC play after a 42-0 defeat at the hands of No. 13 John Carroll University last weekend. The Crusaders are winless both on the season and in OAC competition after a 33-18 loss at home to Otterbein University.
The Coaches: Bryan Moore, a 1999 graduate of Hiram College, begins his third season leading Wilmington's football program. Moore began instilling his vision on the program having brought in two large freshman classes. He has three victories over Earlham College and snapped a 40-game OAC losing streak by defeating Capital University in his first season. More recently, the Quakers defeating Ohio Northern for the first time since 1956 on Sept. 21. Previously, Moore spent time at both Bluffton University and Heidelberg. Chad Rogosheske is in his third season as Capital's head coach. The Crusaders have won five games under his guidance.
The Offense: Kyle Barrett quarterbacks the Wilmington offense averaging over 238 yards per game along with throwing a dozen touchdown passes. His top two targets, Ace Taylor and Itika Wynn Jr. have both hauled in at least 50 receptions while Wynn Jr., who is third in the OAC in receiving yards per game at 95.6, has a team-best 765 yards. Luke Richardson averages over 27 yards per catch while Gino Hinton Jr. has rushed for over 300 yards on the ground. The Crusaders have utilized a trio of quarterbacks thus far this season including Mitchell Machock who has thrown for 625 yards. David Barnett has been the Crusaders' top target with 30 receptions.
The Defense: Ameer Jackson, Tavion Bryant and Tre'Quez Parks all have over 70 tackles for Wilmington including Jackson who averages over 10 per game. Bryant has 79 tackles, 11 of which are for loss while Parks has a team-best two sacks. Parks and Dusty Lykins have the two Wilmington interceptions on the season. Kole Carter leads the Crusader defense with 31 solo tackles, 33 assists, 64 total tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss. Blayde McCully is second on the team in tackles with 50.

Senior Day: The game marks the final home game in the careers of nine seniors - Gino Hinton Jr., Josiah Johnson, Dusty Lykins, Deshawn Maddox, Nick Moore, Michael Vargo, Tyler Butcher, Ed Cook and Aaron Volle. A brief ceremony will be held prior to kickoff.
