Duncan Lowers Program Record and Becomes 3000 Meter Run All-American

(VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.) – Faith Duncan finished up a historically good first indoor season for the Quakers this evening, as she competed in the 3000 Meter Run at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.

She finished the race in 9:39.47 to place seventh and take home All-American honors for the first time in her career. Duncan becomes the first Quakers All-American in the 3000 Meter Run in the Ron Combs coaching era (1997-Present). The time lowers her program record in the event.

Duncan is the first women's indoor track & field All-American for Wilmington since Mackenzie Willis in the Pole Vault in 2011. She is the first one to do it on the track since Callen Martin was the 55-Meter Dash indoor National Champion in 2010.

Duncan was in the top-three for much of the race, keeping pace for second place. She fell back over the final few laps, but still destroyed her previous personal best of 9:43.87.
