Cook Sets School Record; Duncan Lowers School Record at GVSU Friday

(ALLENDALE, Mich) – The Wilmington College women's track & field team competed at the GVSU Big Meet today, hosted at NCAA Division II school Grand Valley State University. There were no team scores. Competing for Wilmington were Haley Cook and Faith Duncan.

Cook finished the 600 Meter Dash with a school record and personal best time of 1:40.83 to finish in 12th place. The previous school record was set in the year 2000 by Brittany Wolf, who ran a time of 1:43.16.

Duncan competed in the 3000 Meter Run and bested her previous personal best with a time of 9:43.87 to finish seventh. This lowers her school record in the 3000, while she still holds a Top-10 time in all of Division III in the event.

Kaitlynn Hickey represented the Quakers at the All-Ohio Championships in Westerville, Ohio Saturday afternoon. She competed in the Shot Put and finished the event in 15th place with a toss of 10.40m on her first throw.

The Quakers travel to New Concord, Ohio next Friday for their next meet, hosted at Muskingum University.
