Women's Track & Field Finishes Indoor All-OAC Championship in Ninth

RESULTS

MARIETTA, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's track & field team improved on its place from last season by finishing the 2020 Indoor Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) in ninth place.

The Fightin' Quakers had three relay teams that scored including the 4-x-400-meter relay team of Emma Burke, Cheyenne Rhodes, Sidney Fields and Miranda Gibson that took fourth with a time of 4:15.46. The same four individuals also competed in the 4-x-200-meter relay, crossing the finish line in sixth place with a mark of 1:52.17. The third relay – the Distance Medley Relay – Sidney Yontz, Burke, Katie Hughes and Milena Wahl also finished sixth, turning in a time of 13:21.45.

Individually, Burke finished seventh in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.90 seconds.

As a team, Wilmington tallied 17 points to finish 13 points ahead of Muskingum University. The University of Mount Union won the championships with by finishing 20 points ahead of Otterbein University.

The Quakers head to the Ohio Northern University Last Chance Meet on March 6-7.
