Women's Track & Field Travels to Capital University and Rick Meindl Invitational on Friday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's track and field team heads to Capital University for the Rick Meindl Invitational on Friday.

The Schedule: Field events are slated to begin at 3 p.m. with track events scheduled for an hour later.

The Teams: Wilmington will be joined by host Capital University along with a number of other institutions: Baldwin Wallace University, Case Western Reserve University, Marietta College, Midway University and Muskingum University.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 22nd season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

Who to Watch: Through five indoor events, Madison Dietz and Emma Burke have been the Fightin' Quakers' top sprinters while Burke also has the squad's best times in hurdle events. Two freshman – Sydney Yontz and Milena Wahl – are the top distance runners while Dietz and Jenna Henneman are slated to compete in jumps and the pole vault respectively. Kayli Sullivan has Wilmington's best marks in throwing events including a life-time best mark of 49' 5 ¾" in the shot put at the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championships last weekend.
