WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's outdoor track and field team will host the Jenna Strong Invitational on Saturday, April 7. This meet honors fallen teammate Jenna Parlette who collapsed while in the lead of a cross country race her junior year (2013). All teams, participants, and spectators are invited to wear purple in memory and honor of Jenna and to promote Epilepsy awareness.

About Jenna Strong: This meet honors fallen teammate Jenna Parlette who collapsed while in the lead of a cross country race her junior year (2013). All teams, participants, and spectators are invited to wear purple in memory and honor of Jenna and to promote Epilepsy awareness.

The Schedule: Field events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and track events at 1 p.m.

The Coach: Ron Combs enters his 17th season as the head coach of Wilmington's men's and women's track and field teams. Combs has been named Coach of the Year, twice by the Heartland Athletic Conference, and once by the OAC. In 2002, he led the men's indoor team to a sixth-place finish at NCAA DIII Championships.

WC Student-Athletes to Watch: Throwing trio Kalvin Butts, Joe Holcomb, and Joe Shuga have been leading the team throughout the season. Pierce Burnam and Antone Truss have found success in the jumps. Burnam also leads the team on the track, specifically in the hurdling events.
