WC opens home slate with victory over BW

WILMINGTON, OH – The Wilmington College swim teams opened their home slate with victories over Baldwin-Wallace in Ohio Athletic Conference action Saturday at the Hermann Court Natatorium. The men's team won eight events to record the 119-86 win, while the women were victorious in seven events for the 132-73 win.

Both teams improved 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Quakers return to the pool 6 p.m. Friday when they travel to Ohio Northern.

"It has been a great start to the season, the meet with Baldwin Wallace was a total team effort," said WC head coach Trip Breen. "I am really proud of the way that this team has challenged themselves so far. We had a great atmosphere for our first home meet. It was standing room only! The team and the coaching staff really appreciates the support from parents and fans."
