Spring Senior Salute - Men's Lacrosse's Andrew Miller

WILMINGTON, Ohio - Throughout the coming months, the Wilmington College athletics department will be highlighting senior student-athletes who had their senior seasons cut short due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

Today's senior salute is Andrew Miller. A four-year member of the men's lacrosse program, Miller has appeared in 48 career games with 32 starts wearing the Green & White. Miller concludes his career with 61 goals and 33 assists for a total of 94 points. The Fightin' Quakers were an unbeaten 3-0 in the 2020 season before it was abruptly ended.

What is your major? - Sport Management

What is your favorite class at Wilmington College? - One of my favorite classes was Facility and Event Management. Working as a class to arrange and set up Hermann Madness was a fun experience.

What is your favorite memory with the men's lacrosse program? - All of the bus rides to and from our away games and spring break trips.

What are your plans after graduation? - My plan is to work full time in Columbus in either sport marketing or event operations/management while also assisting with coaching lacrosse at my high school alma mater.

Do you see yourself returning to Wilmington to compete in 2021? - It is very unlikely that I'd come back to compete. The only possible way would be if it was completely free of charge.

What is your message to underclassmen on the impact of COVID-19? - As much as we all strive to win games and be the best, you can't get caught up focusing on your win-loss ratio. We have to learn to appreciate the grind and the experiences you had while practicing, lifting, training, etc. Especially, appreciate the relationships you have built while playing.
