WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team continues its 2020 campaign as they travel to Richmond, Indiana this Wednesday, March 4 to take on Earlham College in the Quaker Bowl. The game scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.

The Teams: Wilmington and Earlham. The Fightin' Quakers of Wilmington are looking to improve upon a 2-13 record in 2019 and are now 2-0 after last weeks wins over Anderson (Indiana) and Bethany. After one week of play, they average 48 shots per game and, won 42 ground balls and turned the ball over 27 times. The Quakers of Earlham started the season 0-1 after losing to OAC foe, Marietta. They scored a total of five goals in that game averaging 16 shots, and won 25 ground balls, while turning the ball over 24 times.  

The Coaches:
 Jeff Arneson is in his third year leading the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Prior to leading the Quakers to a 5-9 record last season, Arneson, a Wilmington High School alumnus, spent six seasons as head coach at Thiel College (Pennsylvania). Earlham is under new management this year, hiring Blake Keenan, previously an assistant from North Central College for three seasons.

The Players:
 Wilmington returns its top four offensive players – Connor JudgeAndrew MillerJadon Flannery and Zac Chutca – as each begin their senior season on Thursday. All tallied at least 20 points in 2019 with Judge leading the bunch at 41 to go along with a team-best 33 goals. Miller dished out a team-best 15 assists. After two games, Chucta now leads the team with nine points after scoring six goals and three assists, followed by Judge and Miller, who each have six points. Earlham is led by two seniors. Returning their top scorer from last year, Joel Dominguez, who scored in all 16 games he played in, tallying 21 for the season and a shot percentage of 32.8%.  Along with Cole Burrell, an Arcanum, Ohio native who also scored in every game he played in last year, scoring 15 goals with a 24.6% shooting percentage. The duo also combined for 12 assists on the year.             

Series History:
 Wilmington and Earlham met for the first time in 2018. The Fightin' Quakers won both.  First by a shutout 21-0 in 2018 in Richmond, and again at home 14-8 just last season.
