(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Wilmington College women's volleyball team dropped their road contest Wednesday night to the Otterbein University Cardinals, 3-0 (25-8, 25-9, 25-19). They are now 9-10 overall this season and 1-3 in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).
The Cardinals dominated the first two sets, hitting .265 and .452, respectively, to grab a 2-0 lead.
The third set saw the Quakers trail 10-8 before a 3-0 rally gave them an 11-10 lead. Sarah Brown had the first kill before Joy Bebe followed it up with two straight kills to complete the flurry. A 7-0 Cardinals run followed to give them a 17-11 lead and the set's momentum. Wilmington cut the lead down to four on a pair of occasions down the stretch but couldn't complete the comeback as they lost the match 3-0.
