@DubC_XCTR women seventh at Hanover

HANOVER, Indiana- The Wilmington College women's track and field team competed at an invitational hosted by Hanover College Saturday. Of the sixteen competing teams, the Fightin' Quakers finished seventh with 33 points.

 

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Junior Lauren Stacy (Bethel, OH/Western Brown) turned in the top finish for the Fightin' Quakers with her first-place finish in the hammer throw from a toss of 46.19-meters.

  • Sophomore Cierra Johnson posted two fourth-place finishes for the Fightin' Quakers over the course of the afternoon, one in the long jump (4.84m) and one in the triple jump (9.76m) to round out the top-five finishes.

  • The next highest finish came from freshman Emma Burke (Hilliard, OH/Darby) who finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.07.

  • The Fightin' Quakers head to Muskingum University Saturday for an invitational.
