Stacy scores, day one OAC champs

NEW CONCORD- The Wilmington College women's outdoor track and field team opened the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet Friday. At the conclusion of the day's scored events, the women sit in tenth-place with six points.


Junior Lauren Stacy (Bethel, OH/Western Brown) was the lone Fightin' Quaker to score points this afternoon. Stacy took third and was awarded six points, from a discus throw of 41.81-meters.

 

Of the day's preliminary events, whose finals will be contested tomorrow, only freshman Emma Burke (Hilliard, OH/Darby) finished in the top eight of her event. She will go into tomorrow seeded fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.52. This time is under the previous facility record time.

 

The Fightin' Quakers head back to the track 10 am tomorrow.
