OAC Press Release

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – For the first time in her collegiate career, freshman Gabby Kuetemeyer is your Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Swimmer of the Week. The Morrow, Ohio native won three individual events on Saturday to go along with being a member of the Quakers winning 200 SC Meter Medley Relay team.

She began her day with that relay, in which she was the third leg of the race and swam a 33.60, the second fastest lap on her squad behind fellow freshman Lilly Green's 29.42. The Quakers won the event by nearly three seconds in 2:16.87.

Her day as an individual began in the 100 SC Meter Butterfly, where she lapped the competition with a 1:14.62, which was just over 11 seconds better than her competitors. Kuetemeyer then competed in the 100 SC Meter Breaststroke, winning in 1:23.97, over five seconds better than second place. She ended her day with a victory in the 200 SC Meter IM, with a time of 2:49.54.

Kuetemeyer has been a solid contributor for the Quakers all season long and will look to continue her success this weekend as the Quakers travel to Delaware, Ohio for the Corbiere-Merion Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. The Quakers swim on Saturday and Sunday, with the action beginning both days at 10:00 A.M.
