Yenger resigns women's lacrosse post

Wilmington College Vice President for Athletic Administration/Director of Athletics Terry Rupert has announced the resignation of women's lacrosse head coach Brett Yenger, effective immediately (Monday, August 8, 2016).

Yenger resigned to pursue additional educational opportunities and will be the assistant coach at Cleary University in Howell, Michigan.

"We would like to thank Brett for her dedication to the women's lacrosse program and to the university during the last four seasons," said Rupert. "She has the young program headed in the right direction, and we are truly thankful for her commitment and enthusiasm."

She is the only head coach in school history and posted a 5-52 record in her four years. The team did improve over the years, and was 5-27 in the last two years.

A nationwide search for the next head coach at Wilmington will begin immediately.
