LEXINGTON – The Wilmington College women's lacrosse team fell to 0-2 on the season with a 14-2 non-conference loss to Transylvania Monday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Senior Stephanie Belz (Gahanna, OH/Lincoln) was responsible for both Wilmington goals, one in each half. She managed a team-high four shots, three of which were on goal.
  • Senior Abby Jude (Lancaster, OH/Fairfield Union) also had four shots on goal.
  • Sophomore Becca Petra (Liberty Township, OH/Lakota East) and senior Rachel Routzong (Urbana, OH/Urbana) led the team with three ground balls each.
  • Sophomore Abby Englehart (Westerville, OH/North) recorded a team-high three caused turnovers.
  • Senior Katie Bennett (Newport, OH/Frontier) finished with 13 saves on 27 shots.

WHAT'S NEXT

Wilmington returns home to play Carroll in non-conference action 5 p.m. Thursday.
