Men's Track & Field Concludes Outdoor Season at Dr. Keeler Last Chance Meet

RESULTS

NAPERVILLE, Illinois - The Wilmington College men's track & field team concludes its 2019 outdoor season with individuals competing at the Dr. Keeler Last Chance Meet hosted by North Central College on Thursday and Friday.

Four Fightin' Quakers competed the 5,000-meter run including Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Cross Country Freshman of the Year Evan Whitaker who placed 47th with a time of 15:23.61. That mark was the sixth fastest time in program history as well as the quickest time run by a freshman in the event. Gage Clemens (16:16.81), Taton Bertsch (16:19.81) and Ryan Honkomp (16:41.77) also competed in the event.

Josh Cyrus competed in the 1,500-meter run and turned in a personal best time of 4:17.64. Additionally, Aaron Koch took 18th place (58.62 seconds) in the 400-meter hurdles.

In track events, Joe Shuga placed in the top 15 in both the hammer throw (140' 2") and the discus (136' 3") while Andrew Pacifico finished two spots behind Shuga in the hammer throw a 135' 11" hurl that was good for 13th place.
