Six Events Score for Men's Track & Field at Cedarville

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team finished sixth in a field of primarily NCAA Division I and Division II institutions at the Cedarville University Invitational on Friday evening.

The Fightin' Quakers had two individuals score in the 60-meter dash in Aaron Koch and Elorm Dogbey. Koch took seventh with a time of 7.42 seconds while Dogbey placed eighth with a mark of 7.49 seconds. Koch also earned a ninth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.92 seconds.

Wilmington's teams in the 4-x-200-meter and 4-x-400-meter relays finished second and third place respectively. The 4-x-200-meter team of Elliot Phillimore, Koch, Dogbey and Luke Richardson ran a time of 1:35.75 while the 4-x-400-meter squad of Dogbey, Taton Bertsch, Phillimore and Koch posted a mark of 3:36.56.

In field events, Joe Shuga placed eighth in the weight throw with a mark of 44' 11 1/2".

Wilmington continues its indoor season at the All-Ohio Indoor Meet hosted by Otterbein University next Saturday.
