NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – The Wilmington College men's track & field team garnered the All-Academic Team Award, handed out by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday.

In order to be named an All-Academic Team, squads must carry a cumulative team grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent academic term. Through the 2020 spring semester, the Fightin' Quaker men had a 3.34 cumulative GPA.

Additionally, freshman Simon Heys was named an All-Academic Individual. The Wilmington High School alumnus carried a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and finished in the top 50 in the indoor 5,000-meter run.

Wilmington finished the 2020 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships in sixth place. The outdoor season was unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
