Men's DMR Garners All-OAC Honors, Track & Field in Sixth After Day One

RESULTS AFTER DAY ONE

MARIETTA, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team sits in sixth place after day one of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Marietta College on Friday.

The distance medley relay team highlighted the Fightin' Quakers' performances by garnering All-OAC honors with a third-place finish. Taton Bertsch, Aaron Koch, Josh Cyrus and Simon Heys crossed the finish line in 10:34.71. The Wilmington squad finished eight seconds behind the first two teams from John Carroll University and Otterbein University respectively.

In field events, Wilmington had two individuals garner sixth-place finishes with Max Queen's leap of 21' 1 1/4" in the long jump and Joe Shuga's heave of 49' 7 1/4" in the weight throw.

Day two of competition is slated to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
