Ten Scoring Performances for Men's Track & Field at Cedarville

RESULTS

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's track & field team finished with 10 scoring performances at the Cedarville Indoor Invitational hosted by Cedarville University on Friday evening.

In distance events, the duo of Cameron Phelps and Austin Wampler placed in the 5,000-meter run as the senior finished sixth with a time of 17:07.30 and the sophomore placed one spot behind, crossing the finish line in 17:09.04). Additionally, George Rickett scored the team points by running the 3,000-meter run in 9:22.81.
 
The Fightin' Quakers also had two relay teams score. Aaron Koch, Taton Bertsch, Anthony Gilmore and Evan Whitaker's time of 3:41.83 earned a fifth-place finish in the 4-x-400-meter relay. Koch and Gilmore also teamed up with Max Queen and Adam Knaub to cross the finish line in seventh (1:36.48) in the 4-x-200-meter relay.
 
In field events, both Queen and Jeff Clydesdale placed in the triple jump. Queen's leap of 37' 11 1/2" earned him fifth while Clydesdale took seventh with his jump of 36' 7 1/2". Gilmore's jump of 6' 2" earned the squad a point in the high jump. Finally, Andrew Pacifico scored in the weight throw with a hurl of 42' 9".
 
As a a team, the Quakers tallied 26 points to finish 11th-of-17 in a field of NCAA Division I, II and III opponents along with several NAIA institutions. Wilmington was the second NCAA Division III school to place.

The Quakers are in action next at the Indoor All-Ohio Meet hosted by Otterbein University on Saturday, Feb. 15.
