Petra Scores Twice in Women's Lacrosse Loss at Ohio Northern

ADA, Ohio - The Wilmington College women's lacrosse team lost Wednesday evening 18-4 against Ohio Northern. Wilmington will host John Carroll on Friday, April 6 in OAC action. The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

Wilmington played well early in the first half of the game, but Ohio Northern was able to get on the board first scoring two early goals. The Fightin' Quakers were able to answer with two goals seven minutes into the game. Becca Petra and Rachel Reinhart score the two Wilmington goals that put the game at a 3-2 deficit. From then on, the Polar Bears took charge going on a 10-0 run to end the first half. Ohio Northern was up 13-2 at the end of the half.

Wilmington played well early in the second half as well scoring two goals in the first 13 minutes. The Quakers brought the score back to 14-4 but were unable to close in any further. The Polar Bears added four more goals to close out with the game with an 18-4 victory.

Megan Wieloch had 11 saves on the evening, while Kara Griffith was able to pick up four ground balls. Petra scores two goals for the Quakers while Reinhart and Rachel Brown scored one goal each.

Wilmington (2-8, 0-3) will host John Carroll University in an OAC conference game on Friday, April 6. The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
