WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's lacrosse team will continue its home stretch by hosting Ursuline College on Saturday.  The game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. at Williams Stadium.

The Teams: Wilmington played in a tight game this past Wednesday night against Trine narrowly falling 6-5. The Quakers noticed some quick improvements from game one to game two and will look to continue that effort in the next game against Ursuline. Ursuline will be opening its season against Wilmington at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The Coaches: Taylor Martin will begin her first season at the helm of the Wilmington women's lacrosse program. Martin spent her last two years as a graduate assistant at Castleton University where she received her master's degree in Athletic Leadership. Prior to her time at Castleton, Martin was the director of Lacrosse and Head Coach at a boarding school north of London. Martin competed for Berry College and started all four years as the goalie. Ursuline is led by Ed Karasek who was named the first head lacrosse coach in the history of Ursuline College in 2012. Last season Karasek posted an 8-8 record going 3-1 in conference.

The Players: Wilmington has been led by Rachel Reinhart and Kelly Angevine so far this season. In the first game of the year, Reinhart scored the two lone Wilmington goals on four shots in a loss to Kalamazoo. In the second game of the season Angevine led the way with a two goal performance. Defensively, Wilmington is led by goalie Meghan Wieloch who has totaled 26 her first two outings along with Abby Englehart who picked up 10 ground balls. Ursuline returns sophomore midfielder Natalie Nowicki, who led the team in points last year with 36 goals and 13 assists.
