@DubC_XCTR men finish seventh in Twilight

WESTERVILLE- The Wilmington College men's track and field team competed in their final meet prior to the championship season, the Twilight Invitational, hosted by Otterbein University, on Friday evening. Of the fourteen competing teams, the Fightin' Quakers clenched seventh-place with a 43 points. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

-Junior Pierce Burnam (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) turned in the first, top-five finish of the evening with his fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles. He crossed the finish line in 15.37-seconds. 

-Freshman Kaner Butler (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs) earned fourth in the longer of the hurdle events, the 400-meters with a time of 56.94. 

-Sophomore Elliot Phillimore (Old Fort, OH/Old Fort), juniors Griffin Stith (Batavia, OH/Batavia), Hunter Stith (Batavia, OH/Batavia), and freshman Jeff Clydesdale (Circleville, OH/Logan Elm) joined forces for a 4x400-meter relay. The quartet earned fifth with a time of 3:41.06. The Fightin' Quakers went three-four in the triple jump.

-Junior Antone Truss (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs) achieved third with a distance of 12.46-meters. His finish was immediately followed by Butler's and his jump of 12.25-meters. 

-In the discus throw, junior Kalvin Butts (St. John's, MI/St. John's) snagged fifth with a toss of 41.01-meters. He then turned around to compete in the hammer throw, where he earned third from a throw of 48.55-meters. 

-Junior Alex Tillapaugh (Wilmington, OH/Wickenburg) threw 44.46-meters with the javelin to earn fourth.

-The Fightin' Quakers head to the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference Championship meet, hosted by Muskingum University, on Friday.
