Judge Nets Hat Trick in Men's Lacrosse Loss at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union scored seven of the first eight goals and rode that lead to a 17-5 victory over the Wilmington College men's lacrosse team in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action on Friday afternoon.

The Purple Raiders scored the first two goals, but Zac Chucta found Connor Judge five minutes in to cut the deficit in half. The Fightin' Quakers would stay within a single goal until five minutes to go in the quarter when Mount Union scored four goals in the final five minutes to lead 6-1 after the first quarter.

Mount Union opened the second quarter with a goal 31 seconds in, but Judge scored unassisted a man up to get the goal back three minutes into the quarter. Wilmington wouldn't get closer than five goals (7-2), however as the Purple Raiders netted eight of the next 10 goals to put the game away.

The hosts held a 61-27 shots advantage along with winning 21-of-25 face-offs. The Purple Raiders also grabbed 48 ground balls with the Quakers had 32.

Individually, Judge finished with a hat trick on five shots on goal for Wilmington while Andrew Miller and Isaac Louis Charles also scored once each. Both Matt Bisono and Logan Addonizio both tallied a hat trick for Mount Union.

Wilmington (2-11, 0-7 OAC) hosts Capital University for Senior Night on Wednesday.
