ANDERSON, Indiana – The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team broke away from Anderson University in the second half in a 16-11 victory over the Ravens in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

Team leader Jonathan Orloff scored first for the Ravens, followed by two goals in the next three minutes by the Quakers. Zac Chutca scored consecutive goals in the first to push the visitors ahead by one, but the Ravens would respond fast, scoring in less than 30 seconds to tie the game. Chucta would find teammate Andrew Miller less than one minutes later to jump back up by one.  Anderson would then make a surge in the last two minutes of the first quarter to take a 4-3 lead, one of which happened with 10 seconds left with a man up advantage for the Ravens.  

Wilmington started off strong in the second scoring the first two goals of the period. Anderson responded, however with two of its own. After swapping one more goal apiece, the Quakers would finish strong with two more goals, by Austin Young and Mike Smith, to close out the half and take a one goal lead.  

The Ravens would only score one in the third when Jonathan Orloff hits on another man up advantage. Wilmington would go on to score the next five as Jadon Flannery and Conner Judge found their grooves in the second half, combining to score four of them (two apiece).  This surge would prove enough to lift the Quakers to victory as they only allowed three more goals in the fourth by Anderson and outscored them for the third straight quarter 16-11. 

Miller and Judge would finish the game as the leaders in the stat book as they scored four goals apiece. Jadon Flannery and Chucta were also heavily involved scoring three each for the Quakers. Orloff led the Ravens with six goals. 

Wilmington (2-5) returns home to face Heidelberg University on Saturday. The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
