Men's Lacrosse Closes Road Swing at Anderson on Wednesday

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team closes out its four-game road swing against Anderson University on Wednesday. First face-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Teams: Wilmington and Anderson (IN). The Fightin' Quakers are currently 1-5 after losing the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) opener at Ohio Northern University over the weekend. The Ravens are also 1-5 after losing their last two games.

The Coaches:
 Jeff Arneson is in his second year leading the Wilmington men's lacrosse program. Prior to leading the Quakers to a 5-9 record last season, Arneson, a Wilmington High School alumnus, spent six seasons as head coach at Thiel College (Pennsylvania).  Jacob Ashton heads the Ravens in their inaugural season after spending just one season at Christopher Newport University, in Virginia.

The Players:
 Conner Judge still leads the way with 17 goals on the season and a .600 shot on goal percentage. He is followed by Andrew Miller with seven goals, seven assists, and .540 shot on goal for the Quakers.  Anderson's top scorers are Jacob Spratly with nine goals on the season and Jonathan Orloff with six goals. The two have .390 and .560 shots on goal percentages respectively.

Series History: This is the first matchup between the two teams as 2019 is Anderson's first year fielding a men's lacrosse program at the varsity level.
