WILMINGTON, Ohio - For the first time since 2012, the Wilmington College women's cross country team was privileged to host the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships. What started as a cloudy day, the rain showed up "just in time" for the women's race. In wet conditions, the Fightin' Quakers placed seventh at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships. Wilmington scored 178 points, while John Carroll University came away with the win with 35 points scored as a team. The University of Mount Union (69 points), Ohio Northern University (70), Baldwin Wallace University (104) and Otterbein University (133 points) rounded out the top half.

The women saw a performance they have not experienced since 2014. Milena Wahl placed 16th in a time of 24:24, which was good enough to make the All-Conference Team. With her placement, she received second team All-OAC honors. The Quakers also had two runners leading the trail pack to solidify their place. Savannah Rhodes and Bella Stevens finished in the middle of the heap of OAC runners.

As the Quakers head into the next meet, they will travel to Shelbyville, Indiana on November 13th for the Great Lakes Regional Race.
