Softball Releases 2020 Schedule

WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Wilmington College (WC) softball program has finalized its 2020 schedule. The Fightin' Quakers' regular season begins in Fort Myers, Florida, and concludes at the WC Softball Complex for a Senior Day doubleheader with Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) rival Muskingum University.

Wilmington will open the year with 10 games in Fort Myers, Florida, as part of the Gene Cusic Classic. The last two years, Wilmington has a combined record of 14-4 in the Sunshine State. The Quakers face Kenyon College and Curry College on March 8, Alfred State University and Anna Maria University on March 9, Nazareth College and Elms College on Tuesday, State University of New York (SUNY) Oneonta and Rochester Institute of Technology on March 11. WC will conclude its trip with games against SUNY Brockport and Rockford College on March 12.

Upon returning, the Quakers will have road doubleheaders at Hanover College on March 17 and at Ohio Christian University on March 18 before opening OAC play with the home-opener on March 21. The month then closes with road trips to Bluffton University (March 24) and John Carroll University (March 28) as well as home twinbills with Berea College (March 26) and Anderson University (March 30).

After being away from home for the majority of March, three of April's first four series are at the WC Softball Complex - Ohio Northern University (April 1), Capitla University (April 7) and the University of Mount Union (April 10) - with a trip to Marietta College (April 4) sandwiched in between. Two road series at Otterbein University (April 15) and at Heidelberg University (April 18) follow before the Quakers round out the regular season with home twinbills against Defiance College (April 21) and Muskingum (April 25). Should WC qualify, the OAC Tournament is scheduled for the following week.
