TERRE HATUE, IN – Four Wilmington College cross country runners competed Saturday in the 2015 Great Lakes Regionals hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

On the men's side, freshman Rick Pride (Mt. Orab, OH/Western Brown) placed 152nd with a time of 27:59.6, and freshman Gage Egner (Blanchester, OH/Blanchester) was 179th in 28:41.7.

"I thought Gage and Rick ran strong races," said Wilmington head coach Ron Combs. "I think they will be great pieces to build our team around in the future. I thought today was a great note for them to finish on."

Freshman Brooke Gibbons (Pleasant Plain, OH/Blanchester) was the top finishing female, placing 154th with a time of 25:28.4. Senior Mary Krebs (Kettering, OH/Alter) was the other runner, finishing 199th in 26.33.5.

"Both girls competed well," said Combs. "Brooke had a great race through 5K, and struggled a little bit coming into the finish. She is so inexperienced, but this season has been great to get experience under her belt to use in the future. I though Mary had a very strong race as her last races as a Fightin' Quaker."
