Bolen Earns Second Career OAC Swimmer of the Week Honor After Fantastic Dual on Saturday

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced their OAC Swimmers of the Week today, and Quakers senior Cameron Bolen was honored for the second time in his career. The first time Bolen was recognized as the swimmer of the week was on March 1st, 2021.

The Quakers competed in their season-opening dual at Baldwin Wallace University Saturday afternoon, and despite dropping the contest, Bolen won all three events he was involved in.

It started off with the 50 Yard Freestyle, where he bested Mason Kooyman of Baldwin Wallace by .49 seconds, with a time of 21.57 to earn the victory. His time was a BW Natatorium pool record. Next was the 100 Free, where he won by exactly one second over Kooyman, swimming a 48.81, including a solid 23.32 in lap one. Finally, Bolen posted a time of 1:00.76 in the 100 Yard Breaststroke to blow by the competition by over five seconds. All Bolen’s times are in season personal records for him.

Bolen and the Quakers hit the pool for their home-opener Friday night inside the Wilmington Natatorium at 6:00 P.M. against the Ohio Northern University Polar Bears.
