OAC TOURNAMENT HISTORY

WILMINGTON, Ohio – For the second time in four days, the Wilmington College women's basketball team will face John Carroll University as the Quakers travel to University Heights for an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament quarterfinal at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Teams: Wilmington and John Carroll (JCU). The Quakers finished the regular season 11-14 overall and 6-12 in conference play for the second consecutive year after falling to JCU 56-45 at Hermann Court on Saturday. The Blue Streaks were crowned OAC regular season champions with a 19-6 overall record and a 15-3 mark in conference competition.

The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 29th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, won his 500th career game earlier this season. Wilmington has claimed seven regular season conference championships under his guidance. Kelly Morrone, a graduate of the University of South Carolina, is in her fifth season leading the JCU women's basketball program.

The Players: A trio of Quakers – McKayla Binkley, Kennedy Lewis and Mackenzie Campbell – all score in double figures with Binkley leading the team at 13.1 points per game. Lewis, one of the OAC leaders in assists at 4.2 per game, scores 11.9 points per contest while Campbell averages 10.5 points per game. Faith Teaford leads the rebounding department at 7.2 boards per contest. Nicole Heffington is JCU's top offensive threat as she scores 15.3 points and grabs 6.2 rebounds per contest. Shmoo Pryor, who scores 6.8 points per contest, leads the Blue Streaks in rebounding at 6.5 boards per game.

Tale of the Tape: Points per game – Wilmington 68.8, JCU 69.5; opponents' points per game – Wilmington 70.7, JCU 60.2; field goal percentage – Wilmington 39.9, JCU 41.3; three-point percentage – Wilmington 32.2, JCU 34.3; free throw percentage – Wilmington 73.3, JCU 60.8; rebounds per game – Wilmington 40.4, JCU 39.4; assist-to-turnover ratio – Wilmington 0.86, JCU 0.80.

Recent History: Wilmington is 25-17 against JCU since joining the OAC prior to the 2000-01 season. The Blue Streaks won both meetings in the 2018-19 regular season. More information on the series history can be found by visiting the link above.

Set prices for the OAC Tournament are as follows: adults - $8, seniors (62 and over) - $6 students (18 and under) - $3, OAC students - free.
