Women's Basketball Heads to Baldwin Wallace Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team travels to Baldwin Wallace University (BW) for a 3 p.m. Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest on Saturday.

The Teams: Wilmington and Baldwin Wallace. The Quakers are an even 7-7 and looking to snap a two-game OAC losing skid after falling to Otterbein University 73-61 on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets are 10-4 overall and 4-3 in the OAC. BW is also looking to snap a losing streak after its third consecutive OAC loss on Wednesday, 53-46 at Ohio Northern University.

The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 29th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, recently won his 500th career game. Wilmington has claimed seven regular season conference championships under his guidance. Cheri Harrer is also in her 29th season coaching at Baldwin Wallace. The Yellow Jackets have won 20 or more games 16 times during her tenure.

The Players: A quartet of Quakers – McKayla Binkley, Kelly Noll, Kennedy Lewis and Mackenzie Campbell – score between 10-13 points per game. Faith Teaford leads the rebounding efforts grabbing 8.0 boards per contest while Kennedy Lewis dishes out an OAC-best 4.6 assists per contest. Hannah Fecht and Lilly Edwards both score in double figures for BW despite Fecht playing in just four games. Edwards also leads the team in rebounds at 7.1 boards per contest while Riley Schill dishes out 3.9 assists per game.
