Women's Basketball Looks for Revenge Against John Carroll Saturday

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team returns to Hermann Court on Saturday when the Fightin' Quakers host John Carroll University for a 3:30 p.m. Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest.

The Teams: Wilmington and John Carroll. The Fightin' Quakers are an even 10-10 overall and 5-8 in the OAC after a 68-61 win at Muskingum University on Wednesday evening. The Blue Streaks are 5-15 overall and 3-10 in conference after an 85-63 loss to Otterbein University on Wednesday.

The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 28th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, has amassed over 450 career victories. Kelly Morrone is in her fifth season as John Carroll's head women's basketball coach. The South Carolina alumnus has led the Blue Streaks to two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances.

The Players: Mackenzie Campbell is Wilmington's leading scorer at 14.6 points per game along with dishing out a team-high 2.9 assists per contest. Savannah Hooper, Hannah Binkley and Faith Teaford all score at least six points per game while Emily Harman leads the squad in rebounding at 6.9 rebounds per contest. Nicole Heffington and Chelbi Graham lead John Carroll in both scoring at rebounding. The two combine for 25.9 points per game and 15.3 rebounds per contest.
