WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Wilmington College women's basketball team travels to No. 10 Ohio Northern University (ONU) for a 7:30 p.m. Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) contest on Wednesday evening.
The Teams: Wilmington and ONU. The Fightin' Quakers are 9-8 overall and 4-6 in OAC play after a thrilling 68-65 victory over Heidelberg University on Saturday. The Polar Bears are 16-1 overall with their only loss coming to Bluffton University on Nov. 17. ONU, which has not lost an OAC regular season contest since falling 58-45 at No. 17 Capital University on Jan. 23, 2016, most recently defeated the University of Mount Union 59-43.
The Coaches: Jerry Scheve is in his 28th season as head coach of the Wilmington women's basketball program. Scheve, who guided the Quakers to the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2004, has amassed over 450 career victories. Michele Durand has been the head women's basketball coach at Ohio Northern since the 2001-02 season. She led the Polar Bears to OAC regular season and tournament championships last year to go along with a 30-1 record.
The Players: Mackenzie Campbell, who has led Wilmington in scoring the last two games, continues to lead the squad in scoring at 14.6 points per game. She is also second to Emily Harman (7.1 rebounds per game) in rebounding at 6.6 boards per contest while dishing out nearly three assists per game. Savannah Hooper, Maddie Snider and Faith Teaford, who had a double-double in the Quakers' victory over Heidelberg on Saturday, all score over six points per contest. Amy Bullimore, who recently became ONU's all-time leading scorer, averages 16.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game as a senior.

Rematch of 2017 OAC Tournament Final: Wilmington and Ohio Northern met in the OAC Tournament championship game last season. The Polar Bears, ranked No. 5 at the time, defeated the Quakers 70-55.
