WILMINGTON, Ohio – A familiar face will join the Wilmington College softball coaching staff for the 2020-21 academic year. Jillia Cook, a recent 2020 graduate and four-year member of the program, will return as an assistant coach.
"I'm very pleased and excited about the addition of Coach Cook to our coaching staff," Head Softball Coach Beth Floyd said. "Coach Cook has great energy and enthusiasm along with a great knowledge of the game. She'll do a tremendous job coaching for us."
A 2020 WC graduate in athletic training, Cook was a four-year member of the softball program. She carried a .279 career batting average with seven doubles, three home runs and 43 runs driven in. She also played in over 100 games defensively, primarily at catcher, and tallied 253 putouts with a .972 career fielding percentage.
