AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Wilmington College men's cross country freshman Simon Heys has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league annouced on Monday.

Heys was the Fightin' Quakers' top finisher at the seventh annual JennaStrong Fall Classic on Friday. The Wilmington High School alumnus finished the eight-kilometer course in 26:03.7 and in 20th place in a field of 363 runners. Among NCAA Division III runners, Heys placed third individually.

As a team, Wilmington placed fifth out of 36 teams and was also the top NCAA Division III team there.

The Quakers have another home meet, a dual against Muskingum University, on Friday.
