ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Wilmington College men's soccer team (1-12-2, 1-5-1) was defeated by Mount Union (14-1-1, 5-1-1) by a final score of 1-0. The Purple Raiders were held scoreless in the first half but were able to break through early in the second to take a lead they would not give up.

Mount Union outshot the Quakers 11-0 in the first half. Outstanding goalkeeping by Thomas Grimes, who saved all six shots on goal in the first half, allowed the Quakers to go into the half tied 0-0. Early in the second half Mount Union's Zak Pererjohn was able to find the net to go up 1-0. The Quakers offense was more threatening in the second half but were ultimately unable to find an equalizing goal.
