AUSTINTOWN - Junior defender Nils Asteberg was honored by the Ohio Athletic Conference, the league announced today (November 10).

In a vote of the conference coaches, Asteberg (Ojersjo, Sweden/Porthalla Gymnasium) earned honorable mention status.

"Nils had a very strong season and was one of our best performers every game," said Wilmington head coach Bud Lewis. "He is strong on the ball, and plays well on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Nils competes well and is one of the better players in the OAC."

He started in all 17 games as a defender for the Fightin' Quakers.

Wilmington finished the season 5-11-2 overall and 2-7 in the OAC.
