Wilmington College head coach Bud Lewis has announced Sean Bray will be joining his coaching staff for the upcoming season.

"Sean is a great addition to our coaching staff," said Lewis. "He has been a successful collegiate coach wherever he has been, and brings lots of experience and knowledge to our program. "He knows what it takes to play at a high level and win the big games. He is also going to be very helpful in recruiting quality players in the region."

He comes to Wilmington after a highly successful five-year stint as an assistant coach at the University of Rio Grande, where the Red Storm won the 2015 NAIA National Championship. During his time at Rio, the teams won four conference tournament titles, and advanced to the national tournament in all five seasons, including three trips to the Elite Eight.

Prior to his stint at Rio Grande, he spent seven seasons – including the last three as a head coach – at Marian University.

Bray holds the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and the NSCAA National Diploma.

His club experience included the Thunder United Metro Futbol Club, First Capital FC, Indy Burn and the St. Francis Soccer Club, and he has worked camps at schools including Indiana University, University of Michigan, Penn State University and University of Wisconsin.

Wilmington kicks off the 2016 season on September 1 at Wittenberg.
