(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - The Wilmington College men's lacrosse team hosted Heidelberg University in its first Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) game of the season. The Quakers scored four second half goals but came up short as the Student Princes won the game by a final score of 10-4.

The Quaker defense got off to a rocky start as Heidelberg's Tyler Alexander scored two goals and two assists in a 5-0 first quarter. In the second quarter the Quakers activity and physicality on defense ticked up and they generated eight turnovers and allowed just two goals. At the half Heidelberg led 7-0.

The second half was a different story. After being outshot 31-7 in the first half the Quakers went toe-to-toe with the Student Princes with the second half shots being only 18-17 in favor of Heidelberg. Wilmington scored four goals in the second half with three of those goals coming in the fourth quarter. Heidelberg would go on to win the game by a final score of 10-4.
